Some advise avoiding tuna and clams and oysters during pregnancy due to the
possibility of mercury contamination in the fish.

I remember as a child there was a time that the mercury toxicity was very
high in tuna and clams, etc., on the East Coast that it made headlines.
People were being advised not to consume the fish.
