I was sorry to read that the surgeon would require general anesthesia in the
OR to clip the little guy's frenulum.  Now I don't condone this practice, but
I've been told by more than one newborn nursery/post partum nurse that they
used to routinely "clip" frenula in the nursery by using their thumb nail!
This was about 5 years ago. Seems like there should be a happy medium
somewhere.
