Mom and dad took daughter into the specialist today. They went into the
doctor's office prepared with many questions. They were feeling much more
confident at being active participants in making medical decisions for
their daughter!

The good news is that it turns out she had gained about 3/4 of a pound!
This hadn't shown up at the pediatrician's office the week before but the
specialist speculated that she simply had been weighed on two different
scales that weren't callibrated exactly the same (go specialist!). I can't
tell you how relieved the parents were. This changed everything because
the specialist no longer was concerned about her weight, said she wouldn't
need to be scoped, and didn't even ask mom to schedule an immediate
follow-up appt. I guess he feels more comfortable with the baby following
her own pattern, now that he knows that she can gain weight (since having
started on solid foods).

Alls well that ends well...
