I agree about moms not recognizing their own babies. Some of them are
clearly disoriented from what happens in hospitals.

When I heard Dr. Michel Odent speak last month in NYC he kept going back to
research that shows in lower mammals given epidurals...there is no
recognition by the mother that she has birthed and has a baby to care for.

We, as humans, like to think we are above this kind of thing...we can
cognitively override such instincts. that may not really be the case, and
the "baby mix up" issue may be one of our biggest indicators.
