Dear Lactnetters,

I am the book review editor for the Journal of Human Lactation. The
breastfeeding information in the book described below is relatively simple and
oriented toward the mother. However, I am looking for a reviewer who has some
knowledge in homeopathy and herbal medicine. The book was originally published
in Germany where this kind of information is deeper and more widely spread as
what we are used to in the US. By the way, this appeal is aimed at reviewers all
over the world, not only the US.

Breastfeeding Naturally: A New Approach for Today's Mother
by Hannah Lothrop
1998, 288 pages, a few illustrations, many shadowed boxes, 16 chapters, 4
appendices (including one on Homeopathic remedies)

Part 1: Breastfeeding Naturally
includes 10 chapters such as Ch. 2: getting ready to breastfeed; Ch. 6: if you
have a problem; ch. 9: natural remedies (eg. homeopathy, aromatherapy)
Part 2: You, Your Baby and Breastfeeding
includes 6 chapters such as Ch. 11: preparing for your baby; Ch. 13: bonding
with your baby.

The deadline for the December issue is July 1. This is a full review with a
maximum of 350 words. After confirmation of the assignment, the book will be
sent to you accompanied with the reviewer's guidelines. You can keep the book
after the review process is completed.

If you are interested and available, please write a paragraph on your experience
and/or education on the subject which would place you in a good position to
review this book. Also, provide your mailing address and home phone number.

I appreciate your attention very much and I am looking forward to hearing from
you.

Have a wonderful spring day,

Nicole Bernshaw, Book Review Editor
