I realize you are probably starting a flaming war but I disagree with your
use of the word "cant". Most women chose not to stay home. One of my best
friends chose to stay home and live on her apprentice plumber husband's
salary outside of Boston. She got an extra $20 one week and was so excited
- she bought fruit with it! Her kids do not have the benefit of new toys or
clothes but they have the benefit of her intelligence, grit and morals 24
hours a day. After knowing this woman, who is truely a hero IMHO, I just
would not be quiet about saying women "can't" stay home. It is a matter of
choice with rare exceptions like single Moms and women with husbands making
the minimum hourly wage.
