Janaki: You have my sympathies. First, it is doubtful that weaning will
really make a difference if enough rest is occurring. I didn't catch
whether she is using the current "miracle treatment" for arthritis which is
chondroitin and glucosamine. These are now available in combo at drug and
discount stores.

Second, I highly recommend adding two or three herbs: alfalfa (up to 3 or
4 capsules 3 times per day or the equiv in tincture; it's a wonderful
tonic for building blood, bones and nerve tissue); wild yam (to add some
phytoestrogens which improve collagen); vitex/chaste tree; oh yes, and at
least 4000 mg of vit C.

Is this really arthritis or something mascarading as it? Has this woman
been evaluated for Fibromyalgia? Good luck.
Chris
p.s. I am still feeling like a bull dozer went through my abdomen (a 22
inch incision with 50+ stitches). Technically, I'm supposed to be in bed,
so off I go.
