Poorly! Except those of us who were hospital nurses didn't really know *how*
poorly, because they went home before we saw the re-bound effect that
happened after the med was stopped. Like deja-vu all over again - frequently
women experienced the same degree of engorgement they would have 10 days
earlier or so if they hadn't taken it at all.

I swear that Parodel as a "drier-upper" worked as much on the placebo effect
as it did biochemically. I think that many of the women who thought that it
was effective were not experiencing any less actual engorgement that women
who didn't get it, but that they believed they were better off with it. And
I'm sure we've all seen women who changed their mind and went on to
breastfeed after Parlodel (bromocriptine)with no problems at all.
