We all know that the reason 10% is the "Magic number" is
that no one wants to do complex math.

My peeve is that many babies I see who have lost 10% also
had moms who had vigorous IV infusions during long labors.
These babies often arrive so over-hydrated that I think losing
10% brings them closer to their true birthweight.
