Dear Folks:
  I am aware of only one study (the Acheson study) about child abuse reduction
but there are other studies that look at things like child abandonment which
is a form of abuse. Such  as Klaus citing a study done in Thailand where 33
babies out of 10,000 were abandoned in hospitals after birth; once baby-
friendly activities started, the rate went down to 1 in 10,000. (Birth 1995
