It is my experience that insurance companies do not cover rentals for
employed mothers.  Nor would they cover the cost of the baby's formula, etc,
if she chose that route.  It is an expected expense of parenting, and not a
coverable expense...unless a mom has a special flex/spend account. In some
of these situations, mothers can use funds that have been set aside for
purposes of preventive health care, ie breastfeeding being the best
"prevention" that we know of, and it has worked in a few cases that I know of.
