Michelle,
this is so hard, when we can't SEE what's going on. However, it doesn't
sound like ductal ectasia, which is within the ducts inside the breast,
because what you are describing seems to be on the nipple. I would
probably try gentian violet on the spot b/c thrush can present as
recurrent white spots (leading to a cycle of blocked ducts, mastitis,
antibiotics and worsening thrush).
