This is not a bad disease.  The main issue is sometimes chidren refuse
to eat if their mouths are sore.  There is no way to guarantee the one
month old will not get it, but it is unusual at this age, probably
because of maternal antibodies.  So breastfeeding, of course, should
be encouraged.

It seems unlikely a virus to cause mastitis.
