Becky: This is a guess at what it could be - the nipples naturally secrete
a sebum through the Montgomery's  tubercles which helps to
moisturise/soften  the nipples. Slightly inverted nipples might mean the
stuff accumulates and thickens a bit. Probably not a good idea to scrape it
off, but to apply warm water to soften so it comes off in the shower.
