Hi, all,
I received a call tonight from an area LC who is sort-of a mentor to me.
She called to tell me that she had just been to the Massachusetts
conference last Thursday and Friday where Tom Hale and Kitty Frantz spoke.
She told me that Tom Hale had cautioned that very recently, a woman on
Reglan had stroked out, and that now Reglan should not be used as a
galactogogue until further notice, and should not be recommended. I am
slightly doubtful of this report, since Reglan has been widely used, and
one woman having a stroke doesn't seem to be enough reason to totally
discontinue using this med. Was anyone at this conference who can
collaborate or dispute this report? Did Tom really say this? What was
actually said, and does anyone know the facts?
TIA
