Greetings.......I am a hospital- based LC and received a call from a Mom
who is exclusively bf her fourth child. Baby is 4 months old and has
developed eczema on her trunk and legs. Mom reports at least one of her
older children experienced this while being exc. bf. With her older
child, she was told to use cortisone cream. This time she would like
to discover the CAUSE and attempt to elminate it so baby can free of the
symptoms. Mom has already eliminated dairy and wheat from her diet. No
change in several weeks. I suggested eliminating citrus and high acid
veggies. I recently purchased "Is this your Child?" by Doris Rapp, MD.
Haven't read it yet.... have any of you read this? I can lend it to her
if it's a good source. Any other ideas I can share with her? (She is
also interested in knowing if there are safe herbal and homeopathic
medicines she should try) TIA :)
