I haven't seen any research, but my third child was born 12 weeks
prematurely. He didn't have a bath until he was about 9 weeks old when
he had finally reached 1600g (birth weight 800g). When he was about 4
months old he got baby acne. I was absolutely thrilled because I thought
this must mean he was developing normally.

No research, but I am doing a personal one-mother, three child study on the
relationship between infant and adolescent acne. With two down and one to
come into full blossom, I'll let you know my results in, say, about 4 years.
Jan B. (Preliminary "research" indicates that there is a definite
correlation.)
