I have a client whose baby is 7 months old and whose symptoms are fatigue,
joint stiffness, and large weight gain. She also had heavy vaginal
bleeding for 1 1/2 months in Dec/Jan. Then she has had a 2 week lighter
bleeding in February.

Some blood work showed low estrogen, testosterone, and DHEA. The estrogen
was not very low and she knew that it could be from the natural estrogen
supression of lactation. She wants to know if taking testosterone or DHEA
would compromise her milk supply or cause any other harm to her or her
little boy.

The recommended dosage of testosterone is 5 mg a day.

I have searched the archives and gleaned some good info on DHEA, but if
anyone has anything new on it or on the use of testosterone with
breastfeeding, please let me know.
