I've learned that moms can pump aggressively at work and take home enough
to supply all baby's needs, or if she doesn't care about only providing
breast milk (and some don't) she can pump for comfort the first few weeks
back to work and her supply will adjust, just like it adjusts when a baby
sleeps all night. (Some do! None of mine, but some do.) The moms who don't
pump aggressively usually get another couple of months of partial nursing
and I explain that baby will probably be healthier for it. Sincerely,Pat
