Dear Cindy,

Thank you so much for your reply to my 'cry for help' about the fussy baby
and glycogenosis type 3.

I'm pleased to let you know that the baby is gaining weight. She has grown
40 grams today. It's not much, but it's a start. My guess now is that she's
having episodes of non-nutritive sucking. She's having more bowel movements
now, but she's still very fussy. I also guess that the parents are trying
to be too perfect.
They've had certain ideas about having a child, feeding it, burping it and
putting it back into it's crib, asleep, in her own room. It seems to me
that she needs a lot of comforting and skin-to-skin contact instead. The
parents are worried that they will spoil her, and THEY think that she is in
need of a bottle of artificial bottle milk and that this will *solve* the
problem completely. The choice is theirs.....

Well, that's it for now thanks again for taking the time to answer my
question.
I'll *cc* this message to Lactnet aswell, just in case someone else was
wondering about it.
