Two of my 6 children fell as toddlers and broke teeth on an angle that
provided a very painful sharp object into my breast at frequent intervels. I
needed the tooth smoothed to prevent actual punturing.
Both times the dentist had the child sit on my lap while he smoothed the
rough edges. It was not a tramatic experience for the children perhaps because
they were in my lap or perhaps because the dentist was so wonderful. One of
the children fell again and this time bonding was necessary for the same
reason. Again this occured with me in the dental chair and the child backwards
on my lap.
