Has this woman breastfed previously? I have seen it recur very quickly if
she has had nipple/breast thrush in the past - even years earlier.
Otherwise, it is often hard to be sure in the early days postpartum.
However, if you are strongly suspicious of thrush (and who isn't??) you
could start your usual thrush regime.
