Hi, I have also been on lactnet for the last year and thought that I would
let you know that we recently had a mother deliver sextuplets. She contacted
me prior to deliver to discuss the need for a breastpump. She delivered five
living babies and one stillborn the week of Oct 20th. She chose not to have
a lot of publicity due to the birth at 29weeks. Her babies are doing well
and she is pumping milk with a large hospital grade pump.
She hopes that when she takes her children home she will be able to nurse
them some but is also overwhelmed with the logistics of the situation. As a
maternity nurse for the last 17ys and a mother of Twins that were breastfed
16yrs ago I am happy to help her in any way. It is wonderful to see that so
many people are interested in breastfeeding and getting assistance.
