This is one of the saddest things I've read in a long time.  I'm going to
keep it just to remind me of what my mother probably experienced.  I've
often told new mothers who were getting strong objections from mothers or
mothers-in-law, that these women, when seeing young mothers nursing their
babies, have a deep pain of loss.  They may not know where the pain comes
from and often they assuage their pain by criticism and anger.  This
quotation helps me know these women more personally.
