What could post-feed nipple sensitivity be if not yeast? asked Patricia

It could be dermatitis in response to any number of creams including
calendula. Marigolds are pretty potent as bug-repellers; I'd think someone
could react to them, as indeed they do to daktarin and everything else we
stick on nipples except to date Lansinoh...

It certainly could be yeast too. Yet I've seen lots of cases where the
yeast is dead and the pain continues in response to the anti-yeast
treatment which continues in response to the pain.... The basic
physiological process is inflammation, triggered by infection or chemical
intolerance or pH or allergic response or.....MM
