Congratulations to Barbara on success with her cleft baby. In my experience
with cleft babies, it sometimes takes a few days to a couple of weeks
(especially if baby has used other types of "cleft palate nipples") for
babies to get the hang of the Haberman, but it works wonderfully. Now if we
could only get the maxillofacial, plastic etc. surgeons to consider repairing
these clefts at earlier dates wouldn't it be nice? I have had several
mothers hang in there for 9 months or so (when the surgery is finally done)
but by then it's harder to get babies back to breast who haven't done much
there.
