>Just wanted to thank you for your suggestion and update you on the milk
blister/plugged duct moms. All the usual treatments for milk blisters have
not helped either of these moms - that was what was so perplexing. The
other thing that was so strange is that it was only on one breast and the
same breast for each mom. But what we've seem to have figured out is that,
we THINK, it's ductal yeast plugging the duct and causing the white blister
looking area on the tip on the nipple.

>Both moms/babies are being treated for thrush/yeast and noticed almost
immediate relief of symptoms once treatment started. They are only about 1
and 2 weeks into treatment, so it may take a while of continued treatment to
find out if this really was the cause of their problem. Interestingly, both
moms complained of sharp pain or burning sensation in the breast/nipple and
neither baby had any thrush symptoms in mouth or bottom. Neither mom had
any other yeast/thrush symptoms other than the blister-looking white spot on
the tip of the nipple. It has been going on for quite a while for both moms
and I think may take quite some time to resolve. I've suggested they both
continue treatment for 14 days after all symptoms have resolved.
