I know that some cultures believe that colostum is not good, and the moms do
not nurse until the mature milk comes in.  I have heard that this is the case
in Vietnam as well.  I believe that my mil nursed immediately---not waiting
until colostum was replaced by mature milk.  I will talk to her about this
and post her reply.  BTW, she never said anything about this when I nursed my
children.  She was there for the birth of my second and third, saw them go
right to my breast to nurse and never said anything.  Believe me she would
not hesitate to "correct" me!!!!LOL!!
