This is my first posting on Lactnet. I have been around for a while, both in
cyber-space and in LC mode. I was a LLL leader from /75-85. I became board
certified in /85 and have been in private practice for the past 11 years. I
am a registered nurse, married with four grown children and am involved in
the community "breastfeeding events" as much as possible. It is most
interesting to read the posts on Lactnet, a learning experience for
everyone. I am asking a question for another LC who does not have access to
Lactnet. She is helping a mother who is albino and who, therefore, has no
pigmentation of the areola all. This mother is experiencing extremely sore
nipples; the LC is inquiring about the experiences any of you might have had
in helping albino mothers. Thanks so much.
