Margie,

I believe I copied the following herbal remedy from either the TLC post or
AVML. Check with someone knowledgeable in herbal remedies first because I
believe the pennyroyal oil can cause miscarriages. Tea tree oil is a good
preventative measure, and I think it will get rid of lice if you already have
them.

For an herbal cure, The Lice Buster Book recommended an herbal treatment
that we tried --1/2 tsp. pennyroyal oil, 1/2 tsp rosemary oil, 1/2 tsp.
eucalyptus oil, and
8 tsp. olive oil. Mix together and rub into damp hair. Put on a shower
cap, tie a scarf around the cap and keep it on overnight. This is smelly,
but did not burn me or my son. It seemed to work, although nit and lice
picking is still important in case any lice or nits survive the treatment.

Aloha,
