Hello to everyone.  I just joined the LACTNET listserve last week and am
amazed at the activity with this group!  This should prove to be very
rewarding.
My name is Debbie McClurg-Hitt.  I'm from Missouri and work for the
Health Department as the breastfeeding  coordinator.
In the past my primary role has been working with the WIC Program.  Now
my role has expanded to the general population.
This fall we are piloting a breastfeeding peer counselor program at 14
local agency WIC sites.  It's based on the train-the-trainer approach.
All the coordinators at the sites have been trained and are ready and
willing to get started.  It should prove to be a fun and rewarding
experience.
Currently, I'm not hooked up at my PC to Internet, so our librarian has
graciously let me use his ID.
I'm glad to see this group has been put on the Internet.  It should be a
lot of help for me and it's encouraging to read some of the comments I've
read.
Looking forward to seeing you "netters" at the ILCA conference.
