I must say this is the first time I feel compelled to disagree with Jan
Barger.
Chloe Fisher, despite her mental block regarding nipple confusion, is
right on with regard to latching. If the baby is held properly, the
nipple will point to the *roof* of the baby's mouth, and the mother can
tickle the *upper* lip, from corner to corner until he opens wide.
Works most of the time. When the mothers come to the clinic and tell me
the baby will not open wide, he opens wide, if done as above.
