Inverted nipples as far as I know are due to adhesions on the inside of the nipple and need to be stretched in order to make them evert. If this is the case, then I would have thought that any manoeuvre that acheives that would help with breastfeeding .Women who feed for the first time on inverted or flat nipples suffer from pain which would appear to be the "pulling Out" sensation of the feeding process
I think we need some more research done in this area.
