I have a client that went home today, day 3. Baby good weight lost 120 grams,
slightly jaundiced feeding well with finger -feeding , refuses the breast. Tried all
the conventional things, tube at the breast, sandwich the breast, suck assessed as
flutter when tring to latch to mom, strong suck with finger feeding, tight frenulum not
seen apparently sucked well for 15 minutes once.

Of course the post partum nurses gave baby bottles x 3 with formula but forgot to get
mom to pump. Her milk is in 40cc one side , 10 cc other side with each expression
today only.bm's good voiding good, not worried about dyhydration Enough for baby right
now. Spoke to patient about rebirthing. She is very afraid that this baby will not
latch. Anyone have any ideas. Thank's again Dianne
