         there are two excellent ped g.i. on this list and they certianly can
address this with expertese than i but... while the thought is that dairy or
soy can be causes full clearnace from the system of dairy protein is, from my
recollection, approximately one month.

          while time consuming and difficlut to start out eliminating both of
these is doable.. and survivable. one thing that helps is finding  a kosher
market or section of a larger market... the laws govering kosruth are such
that there should be extensive labeling... ALL product marked PARVE should be
dairy free. unfortunately some allow in lactose so PLEASE read carefully.

         nutritient once received from dairy can be made up in other ways.
there are a number of exceelent list of the calcium content of foods.

          as for the bleeding... there are many known and unknown reasons for
blood in the stool... both red and brown. many of the causes are difficult to
identify. this is an important time to look at the WHOLE baby and see how the
baby is doing overall...
