One of the breastfeeding peer counselors asked me what I thought of the
following: how about a study where babies who have AIDS are given
donated breastmilk that has NOT been pasteurized, so the immunofactors
are not destroyed, to see if the breastmilk will cure AIDS?
We live in an area of NYC where there are many IV drug users, and many
families personally have lost someone to the AIDS virus.
Does anyone know if such a study has been done or is being proposed?
We'd love to know!
