My heart was broken when my breastfed daughter-in-law, wife of my breastfed
son chose to bottlefeed. My son was the most allergic of my 5, as a child.
Of course I had to bite my tongue and make nice. The only part that helped
was they live 12 hours away and I didn't have to watch it all the time!
He's now 16 mo., growing nicely, beautiful, smart, etc. Has had his share
of earaches and colds and goes to day care. But I do think he will turn out
OK because they love him bunches and he knows it. Since they both work it
is a real partnership which I do enjoy watching.

So what is my nugget of advice? They know I believe in BF. Choosing to
bottlefeed is not a rejection of me. It is their choice and their baby. I
did what I wanted with mine, that's their right too.
