I have now seen the client on Methadone, baby is on Phenobarb, 12 days
old. Low supply, expressing, SNS, frequently going to the breast, going
well today. Ruth Lawerence in her book suggests the Methadone to be
given after the evening feed, then the next feed be a bottle. (Methadone
peaks at 4 hours in the B.M). Is this what all of you with experience
in this area do? How do you get the baby off Phenobarb? Must the
contents of that night bottle be formula or EBM from earlier?
