I second Deena's comments about breastfeeding classes.  At the local WIC
program, I teach what I call "Infant Feeding Groups," but think of as
"Breastfeeding Brainwashing Groups."  We start off talking about tall tales
about breastfeeding, discussing women's fears and feelings about BF.  Along
the way, we cover the basics of BF & milk supply.  I introduce this by
saying, "Ladies, BF is a survival skill.  What if you stranded by a
hurricane or storm with your baby or child?  Every woman should know how to
bring in a milk supply."

At the end of the class, we talk briefly about proper preparation, storage
and feeding of ABM, making it sound as time-consuming as it is.  (No one on
WIC is getting ready-to-feed ABM--so everyone has to learn how to safely
reconstitute, store, and heat it.)  Then I make some remark about
ready-to-feed, like "You alone can provide the ready-to-feed milk that is
the best for your baby!"
