Okay,  I know when I'm outa my league. This is my last post on the subject.
I should never have said sex and breastfeeding should not be mentioned in
books because it might scare off women who can't associate sex with
breastfeeding.  Of course it should be discussed but I don't think I will do
in my books.  Why?  Because "I" am the one who is uncomfortable with
discussing it.  Where I come from most people are very uptight and rigid
about sex.  The word was never spoken in my family.  Having worked with a
lot of women in the deep south who are also products of homes like mine, I
know it is a problem and if they thought breastfeeding might be seen as
sexual in any way, they just wouldn't do it! In fact, I suspect MANY times
that this is an unspoken reason for not breastfeeding.  My mind was
programmed not to associate any other feelings with breastfeeding other than
warm and fuzzy.  And while I may not have been "focusing" on my baby all the
time, I just wasn't having sexy thoughts.  Maybe I missed out, Maureen.  :)
