Hello to everybody in lactnet land! As you may gather from my
subject , this is my first lactnet message. I'm being dragged kicking and
screaming into the computer age and so finally joined the lactnet. Now my
kids say that I'm the reason they are no longer hearing from their E-mail
friends due to the volume of info I receive daily!
We have heard little about " that" baby here in the rural Australian
town in which I live although my husband has been telling people that we
have a new niece -- our surname is Leon.
I have appreciated all the input from everybody. Isn't technology
wonderful? Some people use abbreviations with which I am unfamiliar and I
thought Ezzo was one until some clarification appeared. What is WIC? Also
what is Stadol? I gather some sort of analgesia- what is its generic name?
I am so passionate about breastfeeding and it is wonderful to know
that other health professionals feel the same way.I know nursing creates a
terrific bond with our babies, but little did I know when I became a
Breastfeeding Consellor that there would be such a great tie with other
advocates in Australia and now worldwide!
best wishes to you with your blood clots and letter writing and sore
nipples and lupus -- the list goes on and on!
                from Ruth Leon
mother of three breastfed (once upon a time) girls, NMAA Counsellor IBCLC
and Nurse Midwife in Sale, Victoria, Australia.
