Karen- Thank you for responding to my inquiry. I do encourage all my moms to
room in. The problem is I can't get to all moms, as most of you understand.
Another problem is baby goes to the nursery while mom is moved to postpartum
room. She may not see her baby for up to 12 hours!! I get so furious, as do
these moms.

When a mom tells me this, I do encourage her to write to everyone she and I
can think of. I strongly encourage her to write to the Editor of our
newspaper. Where in the hospital, a letter can be pushed around one's desk,
a public letter will get MUCH more attention! So often, a new mom is tired,
her ordeal is over with and it just takes too much time. SIGH
