Problems during breastfeeding are not always related to breastfeeding.

I recently had a breastfeeding mom come in with pain during intercourse.
 After checking for vaginitis (yeast without discharge DOES happen)  and
other causes, we discovered that the pain was a mildly prolapsed uterus.
There is no substitute for a careful history and exam!
By the way- I also recommend Astroglide as a lubricant.  It seems to be much
more effective than K-Y jelly and not as messy/drippy.
