Caroline,
At the ILCA conf in Arizona I heard that in Australia mothers are "charged"
for the formula their babies use if they choose to formula feed. They are
charged just as they are for every other hospital supply they use. This
means your hospital would not have to increase its budget if it stopped
receiving free formula. You would also stop receiving all the freebies the
companies give of course. Also I heard (hear-say --please those of you from
Down Under post the truth about this) that mother must----- get up----go to
the nursery (or where ever) and "prepare the formula to feed their babies".
Makes perfect sense to me! They not only make sure moms see how much work it
is, they make sure they do it right.
Will someone please confirm these rumors.
