Hi all,

Wish me a "Happy Anniversary" to Granny Zealot as you watch the fireworks (in
the US) tonight. My wonderful, gorgeous, angelic granddaughter Carrie
Elizabeth Smith Boswell was born to my daughter Hannah at 10 pm on July 4,
1992.  At home, with two midwives, a L&D nurse/LC friend, and her family
supporting her. Say HI to her at ILCA - this will be Carrie's third
conference. How many four-year-olds can say that?

Being a grandma has changed my life - you should all try it!  Throw away your
high heels (they're bad for your knees anyway), and take up the liberty
afforded you by your new rank as "learned elder" to be as opinionated as you
wish, because you've earned it.
