Hi, I have been lurking in the wings for awhile and enjoying all the great
info. I am a
semi-retired LC in San Diego. I am sure this topic has been disscussed
before but I have missed it. I received a panic call from a mom I had rented
a pump to saying she was no longer able to express any milk, and that the
baby was taking cereal now because he was hungry all the time. 5 month old.
She came over today so I could watch her pump and see what was up. It had
been 4 hours since the last feeding, breast were soft and less than one
quater of an ounce was expressed.
IN talking find out she had been on the pill since baby was 2 months. She
is devestated she has lost her milk supply and wants to try and relactate if
poss. Thorny problem of birth control, hates the diaphram and allergic to
all latex. Ideas and suggestions are greatly appreciated. You can post or
e-mail at CG3436@AOL . Thanks Cynthia
