I would right in defense of your position that you were supporting
the WHO code that is endarsed by the federal goverment the same one that
is finnacially suporting the wic program. I would also state that
you werein complence with the objectives of Healthy People 2000
yet another federal incentive that strongly supports breastfeeding.
I would than state that young teen mothers often do not opt to
breastfeed because of the misconceptions they have about breastfeeding
and the pool of where their information comes from is a generation
of women that were ill informed about the advantages of breastfeeding
My understanding of why we now had lcs in the wic offces was
to be a source of this information and support to these mothers.
This must be clear in your job discription.
good luck it is a tough fight but I do believe your boss is
clearly not clear on the who incentives
