Hi All,
Just a quick question. If the baby is fine in all ways, but the weight is
down more than the Dr. likes, and Dr. says "get that weight up or else you'll
have to use ABM.", does the mother HAVE to use the ABM? What is the Dr.
going to do if the mom refuses to use ABM? Take the baby from her?
I hear this all the time and it never ceases to amaze me. It's even worse
when the mom does what the Dr. says and ends up losing her milk supply! I've
seen this happen, and it makes me ill. Can someone please explain this to
me? I realize that the Dr. has the baby's best interest in mind here, but
when the baby is fine and healthy in all ways except weight, why don't they
just give it time and see what happens instead of forcing the ABM?
Any ideas?
Jay
