        I too have come across  the ignorance of anesthesiologists
regarding the effects on the nursling.  I work in an adult ICU but on the
weekends we recover the moms who have complicated c-sections or tubals.
        There iss no policy in our hospital regarding pumping milk or
feeding the infant post op; the anesthesiologist gives you an incredulous
look when you ask what was given and will it affect the milk..."She
already had the baby, it won't affect it!"
