Hi, all! I avidly read all the postings about cup feeding, finger feeding
etc. since this is - Ripley, here it comes! - really exotic stuff for
Israel. Marilee in her post of - um - June 26, brought up something I had
forgotten about. When an infant is cupfed, hopefully eventually going to
the breast at some future time, HOW are the sucking instincts "allowed to
happen" as Marilee puts it? What do you people with experience in this
method recommend? I've started suggesting cup feeding when appropriate
(finger feeding won't get off the ground in my lifetime here), and I'd
appreciate tips as to satisfaction of sucking, since it goes completely
against my grain to suggest a pacifier. Sucking mom or dad's finger? Thanks
